Membership
History
The inaugural meeting of the Society of Feline Artists was held on the 25th September 1994 at the Post House in Leicester, where a small and enthusiastic group of artists met together to discuss the form the Society should take.
The aims of the Society were set out as follows:-
- To provide encouragement and fellowship between feline artists.
- To promote excellence in and appreciation of feline art in its forms and to actively aid growth to this aim wherever possible.
Becoming a Member
The Society is open to all feline artists working in any media or style.
Eligible work may depict any members of the cat family from the largest wild cats to the smallest domestic cat.
The Society consists of Full Members, Associate Members and Friends.
Full Membership
Full Membership is on merit of work decided by a selection committee made up of elected Full Members.

Associate Membership
Associate Membership is open to all artists, without being subject to any selection. Associates may not use the Society's initials after their name.

Friends
This is for non-artists or anyone interested in the activities of the Society. Friends will receive private view invitations for all exhibitions, and be eligible for an annual draw to win a painting by a Member.

- Friends - £10.00
- Associated Members - £20.00
- Full Members - £30.00

The Society produces a biannual newsletter, organises an annual exhibition in London as well as regional exhibitions.
The AGM is held in late autumn and all Members, Full, Associate and Friends, are encouraged to attend. As well as important issues regarding the Society to be discussed, this is also a time where Artists can meet each other, faces can be put to names and it's a nice social event- hey, you even get a cup of tea and a piece of FABULOUS chocolate cake!!!
